Mission statement

As a child, I have always been inspired by paintings/art and how it creates a window in our inner soul/personality and gives an opportunity to express one's self. I also, strongly believe Art has no boundaries of physical and mental limitations. Hence, #artandability is an initiative and a platform to promote art especially for person with disability who are interested in art all around the world and spread awareness #artbeyonddisability.

Komal Patel an Occupational therapist by profession and with curiosity in Art/crafts I have always been an active artist since childhood. I have participated in various exhibitions and painting competitions at national and international level  in India and the USA which grew my interest in art deeper. In my professional experience as an occupational therapist , Art is a meaningful functional activity which gives sense of accomplishment and joy, and I have come across exceptional artists through my work. This led to my initiative to promote artists with disability.

I'm very lucky to be doing what I love as my profession. This job allows me to meet interesting new people all the time. I hope we are able to work together soon!
