Komal Patel, an Occupational Therapist by profession and a lifelong enthusiast of art and crafts, has always been a curious artist since childhood. I have participated in various exhibitions and painting competitions at both national and international levels in India and the USA, which deepened my interest in art. In my professional experience as an occupational therapist, I have seen how art beyond disabilities can serve as a meaningful functional activity that brings a sense of accomplishment and joy. I have encountered exceptional artists through my work, which inspired my initiative to promote these talented individuals, showcasing their signed master pieces and advocating for the protection of their habitat. Vision
As a child, I have always been inspired by paintings and art, which create a window into our inner soul and personality, allowing us to express ourselves. I strongly believe that art has no boundaries of physical and mental limitations. This belief is the foundation of #artandability, an initiative and platform led by Komal Patel to promote art, especially for people with disabilities who are interested in art all around the world. Together, we can spread awareness that art is truly about art beyond disabilities. Additionally, we aim to protect habitat and celebrate signed master pieces that highlight the incredible talent of artists from all walks of life.
