founder's voice
Komal Patel an Occupational therapist by profession and with curiosity in Art/crafts I have always been a curious artist since childhood. I have participated in various exhibitions and painting competitions at national and international levels in India and the USA which grew my interest in art deeper. In my professional experience as an occupational therapist, Art is a meaningful functional activity that gives a sense of accomplishment and joy, and I have come across exceptional artists through my work. This led to my initiative to promote artists with disabilities.
Vision
As a child, I have always been inspired by paintings/art and how it creates a window into our inner soul/personality and allows us to express ourselves. I also, strongly believe Art has no boundaries of physical and mental limitations. Hence, #artandability is an initiative and a platform to promote art, especially for people with disabilities who are interested in art all around the world and spread awareness Art is beyond Disability #artbeyonddisability.
